Now I know why Molly Maid was invented

You never realise how much things have built up, until you have to break them down... Yesterday, I was off from work, and knew that G was going to daycare anyways, so that was my last ditch effort to really dig my claws into cleaning house... Well, I did get lots done (and I'm talking cleaning non-stop from 8AM-3:30 PM--with one 42 minute break for lunch and an episode of Gossip Girl lol). But not the whole house, like I was hoping :( I turned on the apple tv and blasted my itunes--I managed only 3 loads of laundry (and have about 3 left to put away and about 8 more loads to do--yay sheets, towels, bathmats, curtains and day to day stuff for three people). I figured I would start with the living room next. I moved some toys around, organized and washed all of G's toys, moved the couches and swept under them, vaccuumed around the crown molding, washed the window and window sill, scrubbed the baseboards, washed the walls, dusted the furniture, vaccuumed the area rug, swept the floor, hand scrubbed the floor. Success. Then I moved onto the dining area. I cleaned off the table, washed all the surfaces and wall pieces, swept the room. That's it folks....thats numerous hours of work. When did toys being thrown into the mix cause so much work?! Yikes....should be fun to maintain for however long it takes (said no one ever). I picked G up and he was playing hard, he seemed tired, so I thought I would have 2 more hours of cleaning ahead--he decided not to nap, but instead wanted to play and destroy my freshly organized room hahah typical patenaude/Wood fashion--can't do anything but laugh at that point. So that's what we did. We laughed and played and rolled around on the living room floor like puppies, took "back rides" like he was riding a horsey and pulled out each and every book from his shelf to inspect and make sure his favourite pictures were still there--who am I to put a damper on making memories? pfft. I whipped up a quick dinner (didn't even get one complaint from Ty on the salad and veggie sides and no potatoes or rice!). I then grabbed a nice hot bath to soak my bones :) After the bath, we enjoyed our usual 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep--the rain coming down made it even more cozy :) This morning, I was up 10 minutes before my alarm, and got to work about 40 minutes early--God traffic is completely unpredictable! A girl from work went to a book club/baby shower last night and brought me a huge double chocolate cupcake. Is it bad that it's 8:25 AM and I want to scarf it down? I will save it though :( lol I already want to go home--knowing how much more I can accomplish being home alone during the day...it just panics me lol...it's interferring with my work! bahaha (or is work interferring with home?!?! hmmm lol) Not much else new to report! Hope everyone has a wonderful hump day! :)
