Tuesday, WHAT?

I am so out of touch right now--I have, until 20 minutes ago, been going along thinking it was Friday :( If you are one of those people...just a reminder that today is TUESDAY. As in, not even over the middle of the week is done. grrrr hhah

Last night , I made a mac and cheese casserole for dinner once we got home, booked 4 house showings this week (one on Weds after work and 3 on Friday evening), cleaned the kitchen, bathed G, played like crazy, put G to bed and sat on the internet for a whole 30 minutes before falling asleep--what an exciting life I lead, eh? Guess what though...it's the best :)

Ty and I were up at the same time today, which was nice. Usually he is sleeping still when I leave, so we only see each other in the evenings, but it's nice to have that conversation in the morning, I find!

Tonight, some marinated pork chops, salad and smashed potatoes for dinner--and I am going to tackle the spare room closet, and put some clothes from our closet away, to make it look less crowded.

I printed off a "Is your house ready" checklist today....surprise, surprise. My house is NOT ready to be listed. This coming week will be hectic. At least I am off for 2 days (with G) before the appraisal and sign going up!

We got our preapproval this morning--Now that that little stress is out of the way, we are ready to really get serious.

We are planning on a yard sale in the coming weekends--is it wrong that the story in the paper about the little boy and his grandparents going missing after their estate sale is making me dread this? People are NUTS, and you never know who is watching...ugh..

We have been looking at camping trailers too--because house shopping, selling a home, yard sale, weekend plans, raising a child, etc just ISN'T enough, we need to be thinking about that as well haha...We really want to get into camping with G--but with a child, tent camping is just not feasible (or responsible). We need AC for hot nights, running water/toilet, a bed we can put him to sleep in. He knows how to work zippers--a 1.5 year old running around a campsite at 2 AM would not be agood look.   Insert our type of camping :) We called about a few that we've seen--but it's just one of those things I guess--either the inside speaks to you, or it doesn't. I struggle with the layout of some types of trailers--and all of these were that..I guess I'm looking for what my memory of a trailer was , from when I was 8. No rush--maybe next season :) But for now, our eyes are peeled!

We ordered G a really cool potty---and so begins the potty training. He has been pulling off his pants and diaper and running around naked. He won't poop without a diaper on, and he always runs to the front hall if he needs to pee. He also loves trying to flush our toilets (but we have the push buttons on the top, and he can't quite push them down alone).

We aren't going to force it too much for now, but figured we would get a leg up--put the potty out, let him run around naked, and each time he pees or starts peeing, sit him on the potty. Kind of like training a dog, I guess? lol Maybe it will help him start to identify the sensation of peeing. I really just don't want this to be an issue when we are sending him to school, so it eases my mind to start now.

Tyler and the co-owner of his other business are getting their loan to start the retail spot up. 4,000 square feet of store and gaming space. They are looking for their first "geeky" employee now, and are looking to open doors between Sept and Nov, depending on how much needs to be done once they get in there. They are VERY excited, to say the least.

Off I go to finish off my lunch by reading celebrity gossip, and enjoying my last three hours before I get to hit the road and get my G-man :) (best part of the day!).

Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday (not Friday)!

  1. Seriously...Friday...now my week is going to be even longer - on the good side, Tuesdays usually drag on and it has been going not too bad so far!
Happy house and trailer hunting. I think of summer vacation next week and what we're going to do and it makes me want to have a trailer and go camping too but like you, my type of camping is sorta luxury!
