Thursday Randomness

Here we are, on this beautiful Thursday morning, with a million things to do in the coming days, so little time to do it, and one more day to get through (after today) until the weekend :)

Last night was crazy in my world. I left work a little early (Ty went to get G) and I had to go to the bank to get change for parking (yay for being on the wait list for easy, cheap monthly parking, and going through toonie galore while I wait--#14 now WHOOP WHOOP! lol). When I left the bank, I had to hit up the grocery store for groceries (aka we were in desperate need of food and this was the only moment I could squeeze the grocery store in before being asked what was for dinner lol). I got home, went and checked the mail (of course, nothing exciting in there for me lol), unloaded the groceries, and called Ty with a squeal.

We knew we were going to do our front walk/steps to match the stamped concrete out back--but he wanted to surprise me with when we did it. I knew one day soon I would come home and find it all formed up, but I didn't think it would be yesterday :) I am so excited! I know we won't enjoy it for too long, but very happy to not have such a shabby looking front of the house!

Step 1:

All formed up...pouring it this morning, so I am excited to go home tonight and see the half-finished process :)

Garett's potty also arrived while I was at work yesterday, so we cracked it open, showed him how to sit on it....I'd say he sat on it for 20 minutes, just enjoying his nudity of his bottom half, and the fact that it's Garett sized haha....We saw it at Babies R Us when we were registering for the baby shower, but knew it was WAY too soon to ask for a potty, so we just made a mental note of where it was...I went back and it wasn't on the shelves anymore, so we ordered from Amazon (hello next day shipping!). Tyler also ordered himself a copy of The Wealthy Barber--our addiction to all things Dragon's Den is out of control lol. Anyways, here is the potty (it goes VROOM when you push on the throttle haha)

After all of that excitement, I cooked some dinner up, took meat out for tonight, washed the dishes and got G dressed to go out again.

We went to see a house last night, which I kind of loved. It's not really what we are looking for. It's the kind of house I would have bought before I had a little one running around--nice and big with all separate rooms, but with G running around now, I think I'm looking more open concept, so I can see him at all times. I just don't know. We really liked the house--and all it really needed was some upgraded flooring (not mandatory), some paint on the walls and possibly a new deck (just because I hate painted wood). Everything major in the house was new (AC/Furnace, Roof, Windows, pool, basement flooring, etc). And it is such a bargain--they are very motivated as they already have another house and want out by september....One to sit on and think about anyways. We have like 5 other houses we want to look at before we even make a decision. We are lucky enough to have some time/flexibility of that week before our appraisal :) No rush.

Today at lunch hour, I am off to my old building for my sister in laws shower. Looking forward to seeing some old coworkers and having a few hours away from the office to celebrate :)

Tonight, I really want to say eff it and just lay on the couch watching Gossip Girl. But I have some cleaning to do (now I wish I took before pictures so I could post after pictures of the organizing lol), and have to make dinner. A woman's work is never done! haha

After dinner, G is going to get a surprise for dessert :) I saw this at the grocery store last night , and just couldn't resist! He's not a huge sweets fan (unless it's fruit), so it'll probably be mostly a waste, but I'm excited to see his reaction when he sees this haha
