TGIFriday!!!!!

We did it, all! We made it through another week, to another Friday! I can see the gold at the end of the rainbow, light at the end of the tunnel, etc, etc. And to top it off, we are being SPOILED with weather yet again this weekend. Things just couldn't be better :) Yesterday I left work a little early, like I promised myself I would--at 3. Tyler called to tell me he would pick up G, so I went straight home. With construction, I got home around 3:50 and tidied up the living room and put some dishes away before my boys came home. I made some pasta with italian sausage and my spaghetti sauce and did up some garlic bread. We relaxed for a while as G napped. He didn't have a great nap (I guess because he doesn't usually sleep in the afternoon anymore), so he woke up really fussy...nothing a little babybel can't fix--he certainly does love those things. Then it's like the gates of heaven opened and he was an angel again :) My parents stopped in for a quick visit to see G (and us, I guess :) ), and once they headed out, G had another snack, took a crazy long bath, in which I had to force him out because the water was cold...yah, that long (he was too focused on pushing his bath thomas the train toys around the arm rests in the tub, like they were tracks haha), got him in his pjs and went to bed! Ty and I watched a quick episode of Dragon's Den on netflix and were asleep before the credits rolled I think. I have to say I LOVE that the nights are cooler. We all sleep so much better when the windows are open, letting fresh air in. G has a bit of post nasal drip, we think, and the AC makes him cough in his sleep, so we try to do the window thing at night as much as possible. Of course on 30 degree days, they are closed tight and that sucker is cranked though--you'll never be hot in our house hahah Tonight--I think I will enjoy a glass of wine with dinner and deal with the basement--pack up half the bar stuff, organize, vaccuum, scrub everything down, and have Ty finish it off by carpet cleaning :) Then he will just have to clean the furnace room, garage, trim the trees, and I have to scrub the kitchen/dining room and the bedrooms and bathroom (everything else is already organized and "thinned out") :) It's coming together, finally !! Hoping to hear from the mortgage guy today. Would be nice to go into a weekend with our preapproval info, so we know how hard we have to bust our butts and motivate us...I think we are both feeling like we are losing a little steam here--all the work for nothing right now, but when we have our numbers, we can gain that steam back :) I hope everyone has some fun plans for the weekend, and that your Friday goes fast! My Director is back today (and Monday, then gone the rest of the month), so I think the day will go a bit quicker for me, plus a trip to the Cupcake Lounge today--pretty excited :) haha
