Life Lately
- I was off most of last week with a cold/sinus infection/pregnancy allergies. It was brutal. I'm still pretty stuffed up, but it's nothing like it was. So back to work today, and I just have to make it until June 30, then I am off and can deal with crazy things (like my own health lol)
- Tyler was away in New Hampshire for more Clifrock training from Weds afternoon until Saturday around 5. G and I like our time to ourselves, and even though I was under the weather, we still managed some good quality time, and some new toys. We had fun, but were very happy to have daddy back home.
-Garett had made a package for Tyler for fathers day at daycare, and could not wait to give it to him when he got home. He made him a drawing with answers to questions like they did for mothers day, a card, and put in a bunch of bbq tools and an apron. We were going to go all out, but I wasn't feeling so great, like running around all over gods country shopping for him. So I flat out asked G what he wanted to get daddy, and he said "CANDY", so we made up a board and stuck on a bunch of chocolate bars and candies that tyler likes, and used the words up kind of like a Madlibs game. I saw it around on pinterest, and figured it was probably the easiest thing we could do, and a bit nicer than just throwing it all in a bag for him lol. I offered to take them all out for dinner, but I think we were all just pooped from the prior few days, so just made tacos at home!
- Tyler took G out for most of the day yesterday. To visit granny, and went swimming at G's godparents house. I stayed home and cleaned a bit--vacuumed, changed the bed sheets, cleaned toilets, put away laundry. When they got home Garett was passed right out and slept on the couch in the living room for about an hour until 6 or so. Then went to bed at 8:45 for the night. The boy was pooped! He was only up long enough to watch some cartoons and eat some dinner.
-Back to work today, and we are doing uber eats for lunch again. Not sure from where yet, but somewhere delicious! lol I haven't had much in the way of prepared food in the last week, lol.
- I ordered a bunch of new maternity clothes to last me the rest of these two weeks of work, and then summer events before baby. I can't get away with any regular clothes for much longer, so it was time!
- Washed all of the babies clothes this week :) Going to start packing hospital bags soon, just to put aside and not worry about! One less thing off the list is very welcomed.
- Laying in bed last night Tyler couldn't believe the movements. It's beyond the little kicking stage, and into the belly shape changing, rolling around in there stage. she obviously had her knee or elbow bent and pushing up on me. It freaks me right out, but Tyler thinks it's very cool--he's not the one that has to feel it! hahaha I always think she's going to push so hard, she will pop her amniotic sack haha. Though I am very happy to have reached the point where 98% of babies born now survive just fine and lead a normal life :) It's another pressure off!
-I go back to my OB next Tuesday (the 28th). I feel like I live there now haha. My appointment after that will be the Strep B test. And so begins the being naked in front of everyone at every appointment haha. He might also do a sweep at that appointment, and the following appointment. He wants me to go a little bit early, so that he is here for the delivery. They did two sweeps for Garett, and they didn't work--so let's see if little miss is as stubborn as her brother. He just wanted to make his grand entrance on his due date! lol
- Garett is really really settled on one name we have picked. We might have to call her that just because there's no chance he's going to call her anything else for a while lol. He is 100% sold. We keep adding and removing names to the list, and I ask him if he likes this name and that name and he goes "NO. That's not her name, her name is XXXXX"...sighs. We probably should have included him a little less in the decision making there, but I like hearing his voice say the names before we decide lol.
-On Thursday we have a Divisional day at work. We are doing an Olympics theme. Can't wait. Hopefully the weather is nice! :)
-I'm almost all wrapped up on work stuff, and now just working through my archives to see what I need to save, and making a "cheat sheet" for myself for when I return so I'm not totally lost again, like last time.
-Hope everyone had a wonderful father's day weekend!! Here's hoping the storms they are calling for tonight aren't too "severe" , because I can't sleep while that happens--being in Orleans, they get ALL of the weather, I always found. Any storms that can happen usually land right above Orleans. Always seemed to pass us by in Embrun--one of the only things I miss , lol.
