Sunday Recap


After taking in so much sun and heat on Saturday, we were all feeling pretty lazy on Sunday.
We slept in a bit, lounged around and watched some cartoons, and Garett ate a waffle while we got dressed.

We headed out to drop Ty's enclosed trailer off at his yard, and then went out to eat. We popped into my mother in laws house to drop something off for my father in law, and since he was home alone for a little while, we didn't go in to play or anything, so he could nap.

Instead, we headed home, Tyler moved some stuff around in the backyard with G, and we spent the rest of the afternoon inside. It was just too warm/sunny to do anything, so we cranked the AC and turned on some movies/played in the house/splashed in the tub, cleaned up the kitchen and had a quick dinner.

Garett passed out on the couch randomly at around 4:45 and slept until 6:15 like this, lol.


We cleaned his fish tank when he woke up and ran around a bit. But he was in bed again by 8:45 and we watched two episodes of scandal and followed suit.

Now that I see today is supposed to be super crummy, I feel bad that we didn't spend more time outdoors yesterday, since they will be stuck inside for the most part at daycare today, but oh well. We all needed a break. I was starting to feel sick, and needed to be cool and rehydrate!

Tomorrow morning I have an OBGYN appointment before I come into work. So I get to sleep in a bit :) Not much left to wrap up here at work, with my last day being Thursday, so it will likely be a very quiet, very slow week for me since people are rotating in and out of vacation too (makes things so quiet)!

They were supposed to finish forming up our front walk/driveway/back patio/shed pad today at our place, and maybe pour the concrete. but the pour is definitely not happening with this weather on the horizon. I don't love having so much of our lawn dug up and just sitting there like that, but c'est la vie! lol

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend filled with sun and joy! Happy Monday :) I am heading to the internet this morning to plan my two weeks off with Garett--I want to do lots of fun stuff, him and I! :)

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
