On Mondays we clean

Image
What a morning.  I got up with Garett at 7:15 and got him ready for his day in his costume with makeup  He was excited for daycare and the Halloween party today. He left with his treats and daddy and I can't wait to hear about his day later :) Keira and I got ready for the day after the boys left, but it was a dull day around here. I did some dishes. Swept, mopped , put out some inside decor , cleaned counters , took out garbage and recycling , we went for a short walk and got the mail.  We squeezed in feedings and some Brothers and Sisters episodes.  Here's what Keira has on today! I couldn't find her faux denim pair anymore but these are the same type ! We are going to head out to the dollar store for some cups , plates and table cloth for tonight to minimize the mess.  Let's get this show on the road. And hope for nice evening weather for all the trick or treaters !!

Sunday of baking and craziness

Sunday morning was so nice and calm. After a chaotic /hyper Saturday evening , I welcomed this morning.  Everyone slept in until 7:45 (that's over 12 hours sleep for g man lol) but and then we decided to decorate some Halloween cookies. You can safely assume that every single one of those sprinkles found their way onto like three of those cookies haha.  While he finished up there, I made a big pancake breakfast while Tyler and Keira giggled away on the playmat. It was really a morning like out of a sitcom--and it's so funny how you can go from needing a minute alone for your sanity to marvelling at how wonderful your family is. After breakfast, the boys got dressed to go bring the diesel back to the yard and pick up the f150 to bring home again.  Keira and I got dressed as well after they left. Here's what she decided to wear today: When the boys got home, we cleaned the basement, did laundry, napped the baby, played , and we had a lunch of soup and grilled cheeses. ...

Halloween festivities begin !

Garett could NOT wait to get to daddy's store. The plan was for ty to go and I would bring the kids for a bit and we would all leave together.  Instead, Keira went for her nap, and g was already dressed and roaring to leave. It was 10AM lol so I did his makeup and the boys were off to the store.  The kids did some activities but most of the time g was the only kid--and if a kid has ever been in his element, it's my kid, dressed as a vampire in a Game store getting ALL of the attention lol I snapped this pic before they left At 2 , Keekers decided to wake. She had a feeding and I got dressed and got her dressed and packed up.  We grabbed some Wendy's for g and daddy and headed over.  I snapped this before we left. I gave her a toy apple and she somehow grabbed it and put it to her mouth. Perfect!!! Garett wanted to show his "pretty girl" off when we got there , so daddy carried her around to meet some people for a minute then she hung out on the couches in one of t...

Cat-urday in advance

Um. Keira might become a fashion blogger. Just because I'm straight up addicted to shopping for her. Like, it might be a problem. But at least I know better, and have started buying sizes up and such because no one child needs this many 3-6month clothes.  Anyways. Today's outfit is: Very fitting since she has three fur babies living in the house also :) She wouldn't stop staring at her shoes. I couldn't get her attention haha The boys were at tylers store getting last minute prep for the Halloween sale ready, and only came home around 5:30 yesterday. Keira napped for a while, but woke up and had some tummy and playmat time, and I relaxed, turned on the fireplace and had some hot chocolate while I waited for them to get here! Im glad I had made the chicken the night before.  I cooked it in the new cream of bacon Campbell's soup and omg it was good! We had it over rice with some corn. For Garett I cut it up and mixed it all together in a bowl and he ate TWO huge helpi...

Baby clothes and Halloween plans!

You know what ? This having a girl to dress thing is too much fun. It's a little hard with an almost 3month old because things fit awkwardly on their bunched up little bodies , and I want to make sure she is also comfortable while she is exploring new ranges of motion and whatnot , so the real fun won't start until she's a few years old, but this is still new territory for me, and I have big time been going overboard on shopping for her, so i just wanted to start documenting her outfits, for myself to look back on. Sorry if it's annoying haha. I also include screenshots of where things are from in case anyone stumbles on my little blog and is curious.  So today , with snow having accumulated last night , her under layers need to be warm. Here is what she has on today: Her shoes are not super warm, but her feet are always bundled up under blankets, and I refuse to have wasted money on 101 pairs of shoes for her lol (you would think I would have learned my lesson with Gar...

Vet, online shopping and sushi. You know, a typical Thursday.

Today was a pretty quiet one! The boys were gone by 7, as per usual. Keira and I had plans to go out, but the weather was horrible, so we stayed put.  I did some online shopping for myself (shocking) , and a load of toys came from toys r us, that I had to hide. Garett discovered a hiding spot last night, so I had to move those ones and relabel them to be from us and not Santa. He's too smart now lol I ordered more of his "homework" books off of amazon today also--he is OBSESSED. A little eager beaver for school to start.  Last night we started working on writing numbers. He worked backwards , and look how good his last 9 is! #proudmomma  Tyler came home early, around 1, and we booked Steve a vet appointment (he's getting older, was getting sick, thirsty all the time). So there was a cancellation, and we took the 3:30 timeslot.  Meaning Keira and I had to head out in the cold (ugh lol) to get Garett. Today she decided to bundle up a bit. Blankets in the car seat weren...

Wednesday whereabouts

We had a busy morning of laundry and cleaning. I wanted to get some baking in, but instead I thought I would give Tyler a shout and see if he was available for lunch. We wanted to get out of the house, lol. Weirdly enough, he was leaving the job site, so we decided to meet at his store and grab some lunch a few doors down at The Lunchbox. We love this place because of the healthy, fresh, locally grown  menu.  Today I tried to "Sean Evans ". It was delicious. Super spicy, but I couldn't stop. As usual, I could only eat half (the sandwiches --wraps in my case--are huge)  Keira was happy to get out , and is always happy to try out new outfit combos, lol  Today she wore this peplum style top from children's place: These maroon ruffle bum leggings from old navy: This faux fur vest from old navy: This navy headband from etsy And her Sherpa boots from the gap We are putting out all the other Halloween stuff tonight. ...
