Baby clothes and Halloween plans!
You know what ? This having a girl to dress thing is too much fun. It's a little hard with an almost 3month old because things fit awkwardly on their bunched up little bodies , and I want to make sure she is also comfortable while she is exploring new ranges of motion and whatnot , so the real fun won't start until she's a few years old, but this is still new territory for me, and I have big time been going overboard on shopping for her, so i just wanted to start documenting her outfits, for myself to look back on. Sorry if it's annoying haha. I also include screenshots of where things are from in case anyone stumbles on my little blog and is curious.
So today , with snow having accumulated last night , her under layers need to be warm. Here is what she has on today:

Her shoes are not super warm, but her feet are always bundled up under blankets, and I refuse to have wasted money on 101 pairs of shoes for her lol (you would think I would have learned my lesson with Garett, but little shoes are my weakness. SO hard to resist ). I can't find them on zulily anymore, but they are made by Little Beginnings.
The sweater is a fleece zip up from a set that came from Oshkosh/ Carters
The "beautiful in every way " onesie also taken from one of our sets from Oshkosh/Carters (I love mix and matching these sets)
Pants are a pair of leggings I got on clearance from Oshkosh /Carters. Look at that price tag !:)
The hat, I can't even find a picture of anymore. I bought it on sale from joe fresh from sitting in my hospital bed when I had just had Keira haah. Pink knit with a little side now !
Last night before bed, while Keira was napping , Garett and I decided to do something with all of the apples that him and daddy grabbed at the orchard last weekend. So I peeled and cored and sliced them all, and then he helped me bake an apple crisp. I tried a new mixture, and Tyler just about ate the entire 9x13 pan last night. He said "it's top shelf. It's the bomb. You're the best" haha he liked it. And I am inclined to agree. I hope in the future I can remember the exact portions I used. That's the only thing about winging it. When it goes really right, you can never replicate it!
In the process of peeling and voting, Garett was in HEAVEN. Apple peels are his favourite. He kept take fists full and watching his YouTube videos beside me until he could help me once all the cutting was done. Super cute.
Friday is my favourite day of the week, because I love when Garett gets home and realizes it's the weekend.
This weekend Tylers store (The Kessel Tun) is having huge blowout sales to thin out the inventory to make room for new releases. They are running on a sticker system (green, yellow and red --red obviously being the biggest sales). They are also going to have some stuff for kids and some trick or treating for kids, so Garett will get to test out his costume and head over. I will dress Keira up as well , since she likely won't be dressed up on actual Halloween since it's not very comfortable lol
So that will be keeping Tyler pretty busy this weekend, so I'm going to figure out some stuff to keep g-man busy at home in the downtimes.
Can't say I'm a huge fan that Halloween falls on a Monday night this year, but we have to pick up our candy still this weekend (we apparently only get about 50 kids here)--since we can't have candy just laying around the house with Tyler here haha. And since we got all decorated here this year , and g is getting older, we wanted to stay put and start our own traditions. But since last year we went over to mother in laws and brought candy to hand out , they are going to come over here. Our friends /tys cousin Casey and Shannon and their little girl are going to hopefully come here too, so the boys can take the kids trick or treating and we can hand out candy and maybe order pizza afterwards. Very reminiscent of my childhood. I always went with my best friend with our dads , and came home to have pizza while we looked through our candy. I can't wait to see Garett in his element and making memories similar to mine :) I know how fondly I look back on my hallowe'en a, and I hope he looks back to have special memories of this "holiday" as well!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend ! Happy Friday :)
