Baking, storms and shopping!

Thursday we were all up at 6:30 as Tyler was leaving. We (gman and I) had a quick breakfast in bed and relaxed until about 8. Got dressed and headed to Walmart for some groceries and the stuff we needed still for our dinner tonight. 

 

G got a new stingray toy thing from finding dory that his cousin has and we hightailed it out of there to beat the rain. We didn't realize none of the little toys that go inside came with it , so we have to head to toys r us today again lol

We unloaded the groceries and organized the fridge and cupboards in order to get it all put away. We had a quick snack and headed out to the movie theatre. Garett wants to see "The secret life of pets" so we headed over and met Tyler there. Unfortunately it was sold out for that time, so we bought our seats for today instead , grabbed some food and headed home. 

Once we finished our food, g and I started baking. We made a pumpkin poke cake first, so had to make the pumpkin cake, white chocolate pudding , and the cream cheese icing. When we got that one done, we started on the lemon curd cake. We made the curd, the two lemon cakes and wrapped it all up to make the buttercream icing today and do the layers/assembly. G fell asleep on the couch , but it was like 6:30, so we woke him up to give him a haircut , bath and eat something. He was in bed really early, so we each showered and watched an episode of the 100 before bed. 

We were in bed before 10, but then I woke up to a nasty storm :( I was awake for about an hour worrying about the radar. But it dissipated and all was well with the world again :) lol
