First day "off"

Today marks the first day of my vacation leave before my mat leave begins. 

It was successful, but very hot!!

G woke up around 7:40, and we got dressed and went outside with some toast to wait for the concrete truck. I went to Timmy's to get some coffee for the guys, and G would come, so he waited. It still hadn't arrived when I got home, but was her shortly after.

G was right in there, wanting to hold the concrete chute thing. He was allowed for a bit, before it started splashing. 

Once the guys started wheeling it back, he helped shovelling, and tried out the mag (so hard). 

He was getting a little cranky and hot, so we were in and out a lot. 

The guys were done stamping the back (they pour the driveway tomorrow ) around 12, so they headed out to a different job site. 

G and I headed to the grocery store for some random food/snacks/fruit/drinks and had some lunch at home. We settled in and watched the Angry Birds movie, and waited for Ty to get home. 

I managed to get the kitchen and master bathroom cleaned a bit, took dome garbage out, out a bit of laundry away, and ran another load. I was really hoping for a nap, but g-man had other plans. I think it's going to be a very tiring two weeks if this weather keeps up! He likes to be outside so much, and I just find it to be the most uncomfortable thing ever right now.  

Once Tyler got home, him and g proceeded to spray down the siding on the back of the house, and keep the new concrete hydrated every hour or so. This was gs favourite task ever. 

We cooked up some seasoned chicken tornadoes from farm boy , green beans and rice, and had some Klondike bars for dessert :)

As we were going upstairs to get ready for bed, the doorbell rang and it was my mother in law. So she came in briefly to see the deck, and g was pretty riled up after so we played playdough for 5 mins and went upstairs. I took a bath and when I got out at 8:50 we put g to bed. 

We watched a bit of the new Star Wars movie on the and ours box and called it a night also. All in all, a successful day off together :)
