Weekend recap

On Friday, we woke up at 6:30 with g. Tyler left for work and g and I got right to it! We made breakfast and then our icing for the lemon curd cake. I cut the cakes in half and did the butter cream/curd layers and iced the whole thing. We did dishes, switched the laundry over, made gs bed and cleaned his room and bathroom. Played some serious hide and seek, ran around in the basement. We had a snack and watched some cartoons, then made my bed, put away laundry, vacuumed upstairs and the stairwell , mopped the main floor, etc etc etc. We had a very busy morning ! Lol

We went to Walmart for a few things, met Tyler at Five Guys for lunch , then went to landmark cinemas to see " The secret life of pets".  Since we bought the tickets on Thursday,( and it was assigned seating ) we got the seats we picked. It was gs first movie in the theatre. It was touch and go at the start since previews were 25 mins long ,(Wtf?) but he laughed through most of the movie. Half way through, he decided his belly wasn't too full for a snack anymore --so Tyler ran and grabbed him a little snack pack box of popcorn and soft drink. He was silent and still for the rest of the movie , just making noise to let out a laugh. Cute movie! Even Tyler and I laughed a few times :)

Afterwards , the boys went to the butcher and market to get fresh corn on the cob and steaks. I went home and changed. Soon enough my parents and father Matthew were over. I started the rest of dinner. Took just over an hour to get food on the table, which is good considering we hadn't started anything yet haha. We had rib eye steaks in the cast iron skillet , corn on the cob, a rice and sausage casserole, French onion roasted potatoes , buns, ceasar salad and mushrooms/onions on the side. 

Dessert went over well too, so I'm glad they weren't a waste of time and that we didn't need the pie I bought after all lol

After dinner /dessert we went around doing the blessing of the house. Like usual, Garett helped father Matthew with the sprinkling of the water haha, pretty cute. 

Everyone left around 8:30 and Garett went right to bed. He passed out hard. 

Tyler went and played some video games  and I watched two episodes of my show on Netflix :) I went to bed around 11 and ty came up shortly after. 

Saturday morning we all woke up around 7:45 , Tyler headed out to bring the trailer to the worksite for the guys and g and I relaxed in bed with some fruit and toast. 

I was supposed to go to a baby shower but was feeling too tired and stiff, and didn't feel like going to the baby store before hand, so  changed my rsvp and will get the baby something and drop it off later. Tyler ended up having to do a lot of work because,you know, if you want something done right ? You have to do it yourself! He came home grouchy , but took a shower and we headed out for a late brunch at Kozy Nest. We drove through rothwell heights, and places like that, looking up listings on the houses for sale. We would love to live in an area like that.#milliondollarhome #somedaysoon 

After, we headed home and tackled most of the dishes and put away some laundry. We all had baths and Garett went nuts running around with his cape on! Lol 

He eventually took a break, and then it was bedtime directly following said break lol 

I also managed to get my hospital bags packed (my stuff , stuff for baby , and tylers) and Garett's overnight bag just in case the plan doesn't work out.

I had a horrible nights sleep. When I know there's something going on in the morning , I literally lose sleep over it. Tyler had to be at the store for 7:30 so the electrician could make 8 new junction boxes and install new overhead lights.

Tyler headed out around 7, g and I had some eggs and fruit and played for a bit. Around 9:30 we headed out, grabbed some tims breakfast for ty and went and hung out at daddy's store for an hour. Garett could spend endless amounts of time there running around. He also set up all the land features on one of the table top games. He was pretty proud of that! lol 

"Daddy look! I fixed your game!" Lol

We came home, had a snack and relaxed on the couch to watch blaze and the monster machines. I could barely keep my eyes open. Garett was pretty nappish too, but his eyes never fully closed lol. 

Tyler came home around 1, and we hung out around the house. At about 3:30 we decided to go out to eat. We tried out the Waverly east. It was excellent! Homemade hamburgers that were super juicy. Yummy. Garett thought the curved booths and old school lamps were pretty fancy. And he enjoyed the cloth napkins and the glass bottles the water came in LOL. doesn't take much to impress that kid, I'll tell you that much haha

We came home and the boys raced a bit and then Tyler took Garett out for a drive on his tractor. While they were gone, I ran a bath. They came home shortly after I got in, so I relaxed for a bit and then got out just in time for Garett to go to bed lol we watched The 100 and ate our leftovers and leftover desserts again. 

G is back to daycare tomorrow and I have.a to-do list 100 miles long of stuff I couldn't get done while we were together. I need to call service Canada , drop off my parking pass and benefits cheques to work, get a mani/pedi (a girl has to be prepared lol), write thank you cards and mail them and get the private travel vaccine clinic to send me my records since my doc tried to give me a shot I just had done and I refused it lol

Tuesday I have another doctors appointment , and I need to get everything else in the house in absolute order and keep it that way, so there's less damage control before the baby comes :) plus I think g will be happy to be back to his friends. He likes being home, but you can tell when he's had enough time with mommy and daddy haha.
