Sunday recap -reptiles and swimming

Sunday we were up around 7:30, so we decided to make some breakfast for Garett and tidy up a bit. 

We headed out around 9, Tyler and I stopped at McDonald's for a breakfast sandwich (stomach ache in the making everytime I decide "ok" to that). We drove around for a bit looking at lots of land (still haven't ruled out building, but with the price of land and building /furnishing the actual house...it would be quite an investment ). 

Around 10:15 we headed to Little Rays Reptile Zoo, and spent the next 2+hours there. We looked at all the animals/reptiles/insects and took in a live feeding show (watched them feed a python a full chicken, watched them feed 10 alligators dead mice and chickens and lastly we all got to go in with 4 tortoises and fed them long dandelion branches. ) we also took in a "hands on" show where the kids got to learn about 4 animals and touch them. A tarantula, a Cayman crocodile , a snake and different type of turtle that only lives on land. G touched them all except for the tarantula. Tyler held it though. Yuck. G and I sat farther back for that one when it was being passed around :) but we learned quite a bit (even Tyler and I lol). 

When we were done , we grabbed g a tshirt , a pair of binoculars and some little frog toys from the little shop. What a great morning !

Afterwards, we went to eat at a little pizza joint Tyler and I used to eat at a lot when we were first dating. It was closed when we got there though , so we grabbed some fritomanio chip truck and headed home to grab some bathing suits, towels and change. 

We headed to my mother in laws for a swim in the pool and bbqd some burgers and hot dogs. The boys played and we headed home around 7:30. 

Garett was down for the count and asleep by 8:30. Tyler and I finished watching the boss movie and headed to bed also. 

It was a wonderful day :) we all slept soundly , which is a blessing for us all lol.

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
