Fri-yay!

Excellent news. It's Friday. Which means that I can shut my alarm off for two days, and  still wake up at 6:30, because internal clocks are cruel.

Garett was insistent that daddy play out in the snow with him again last night when we got home. This kid LOVES winter, and is so sad that it's warming up and all the snow will be gone. Mommy on the other hand? Melt away, snow :)

When they came inside, we had a quick snack, changed out of their cold clothes, and watched some cartoons. Can we just take a second to acknowledge the size of these strawberries??? The package I bought fit MAYBE 8 strawberries, and this is the smallest one of the bunch! G thought he had died and gone to heaven.

Afterwards, he ripped open his new Star Wars toothbrush. When you push a button it lights up, talks and makes light saber sounds. He "brushed" his teeth for about 10 minutes before mommy told him to put it away until it was time to really brush our teeth.

Also there to grace me when I got home was my package from Carters/Oshkosh. I just love opening each sleeper/outfit and picturing a little babe inside of them. Can't wait :)
*Not shown in the picture is G's new zip up sweater, some new pants, and a new glow-in-the-dark constellation tshirt that he put on over his other shirt and wore around all night "charging it up" with flashlights and running into dark rooms. haha

After we relaxed a bit, Tyler had to head to the store for 30 minutes to open an order and make sure everything was ok for the events that night and tonight. Garett originally wanted to go play at the store, but at the eleventh hour, decided he would rather stay home with me. So I played with him instead, and caught up on nothing haha

On the way home, Tyler grabbed some food from the artisan sandwich place next to his store, Lunchbox. It's good there--they use all fresh ingredients. There is nothing processed, and everything is homemade (breads, meats, etc). Everything is school related, which is pretty neat also.

I had a roast beef wrap with horseradish, crispy onions, old cheddar and arugula (called the Class Clown). I had a coleslaw for my salad, and for my little side of eggless cookie dough, I tried "Franklin's Fave", which is caramel and pecan chunks. The cookie dough is so good, but it's very sweet--they only give about a cookies worth, so it's just enough to satisfy :)

We also got some of their homemade juice, which they make fresh everyday and send in little mason jars. Yesterday's was a strawberry juice, and ohhh was it good. I drank most of mine, but let Garett drink the last bit. I didn't want him to have too much since he already ate 4 huge strawberries earlier , lol.

After dinner, we played in the basement for a while, did baths, laid out clothes, played in the bedrooms, and then settled into the bedtime routine.

Today marks the beginning of the backyard show, but Tyler is just going to set up and being there for the opening. He is going to a surprise party for his aunts 60th tonight for a bit and then coming home. Hopefully he doesn't have to be at the show much this weekend and we can actually tackle some painting. I absolutely despise having it sitting in the cans in my front hall waiting to be done. ugh!

Happy Friday everyone :)
