Wednesday: What's up

Yesterday was seriously so long, it feels like I'm coming back to work after a weekend haha.

On Monday, it was so quiet at work (the day flew by though, surprisingly!), so I hunkered down to find a bedding that I liked for the nursery. I looked everywhere and couldn't find anything I liked. If you know me, you know I despise theming a nursery. I think nursery's should just be warm/welcoming/cozy places. I mean, it doesn't last long anyways before the baby grows up and has an opinion of what they want their room to look like *cough* Garett *cough* haha

We chose a lavender/lilac colour for her room, so I knew the bedding had to have a soft purple in it, but that's probably the only purple accent in the room, since I don't want to overkill. So we will do grey and white also. I saw this bedding, and fell in love. The Damask design is what we used as the accent design at our wedding. Obviously I am very fond of it still. So I put the order in and it's shipped already :) The crib/furniture will be ordered soon, and I need some curtains, maybe a rug, some hangers, baskets, accents, wall décor and a chair cover.....so...pretty much everything still LOL

Tuesday we were up bright and early, dropped Garett off at daycare and headed out to do an estimate (I just waited in the truck because it takes like 20 minutes lol). Afterwards, we went out for breakfast to Johnny Canucks and drove around a bit, looking at where we would like to buy some land and build our next place.  It's all just an idea up in the air right now--but after the last house hunt ordeal, it seems that building might be our best bet.

Afterwards, Ty brought me home so he could go do some more work, and I cleaned the ensuite bathroom, master bedroom, did a few loads of laundry and put MOST of it away (there's still 2 to fold/hang..ugh), and organized g's room a bit, trying to plan how to lay things out. He literally asks me every night "is my double bed here yet, mommy?" soon buddy. I hope the mattress comes sooner than the 21, but who really knows lol. The rails are in, we just have to go buy the box spring at Sears (those don't ship without paying an obscene amount of money, lol). Then Tyler just has to paint his ceiling, baseboards and walls (lol) so I can set the room up. The kids rooms are going to eat all of our energy! haha

Tyler picked garett up around 2:15, and my car wasn't ready yet, but he picked me up and we drove out to greely to do one last estimate. I liked the neighbourhood quite a bit (was one of the considerations for where to build, lol), so we got out and walked a bit.

After, Ty dropped me off to get my car--apparently this garage only takes cash, so I had to run to the bank before they closed and take out the cash, and headed back. The boys played at daddys store for a while and headed home. We made a quick dinner, played, did baths, laid out clothes, etc--typical evening things. Tyler and I marathoned some more Cops before we fell asleep!

I woke up 30 minutes before my alarm this morning, so I downloaded the new Teen mom episode, checked facebook, etc and got ready. The boys were getting up as I was getting ready to leave :) Today is the first day of actual turning soil on Ty's season--so spring has officially sprung in our household!

Happy hump day, everyone!
