My "mom" wish list

I won't call it my Mother's Day wish list, since some of the things are absurd and obviously I would not expect them from anyone but myself. But when my husband starts asking me about things I want for mother's day, I start going crazy! haha

1) A splash/fun zone for the backyard in the summer.
This one is obviously too big, but I love that it's inflatable, and is a water play thing. G loves to splash around, and this would keep him so busy all summer long, while I am a beached whale on the outskirts. Funny how toys for other people start creeping in on your own "want list" when you become a mom!?

2) A new car. It's nice not to have car payments on my own vehicle, since we have two new trucks now. But I can't help but want my new car now. Definitely not before the baby is born...but maybe halfway through my maternity leave I will bite the bullet. Ford Edge is what I'm leaning towards :) We are kind of VIP's at the ford dealership at this point, having bought three new trucks in the last 6 months, so I think I'll stick with that treatment ;)

3) A new summer maternity wardrobe. I can easily make it through this weather with my regular clothes. I haven't had to rely much on anything maternity yet, but I know I will probably need to buy some pieces to get me through the last bit of work in the warmer times, and to comfortably survive outside of work until baby comes.

4) A shag trellis style area rug for my downstairs living room. Currently this space is a nothing zone, but I need at the very least to buy a rug for some inspiration in there. I have settled on a rug like this, but just have to find the size and colours I want.

5/6)
This is what I actually asked Tyler for for mother's day. I was at the spa about a month ago and saw this Scentsy "Evolve" diffuser. I want it. I still do. But its huge, and I don't know if I'm ready for a diffuser that size when I'm new to the world of essential oils. It's about $160, so I asked for a $50 one to start instead. Also, a starter kit of essential oils to work with!

What's on your wish list??

  1. The Ford Edge is a great choice for a new car, especially when you have a baby on the way. The latest safety features in this new Ford will protect you and your precious cargo for years to come. This is certainly a vehicle that you can grow into over the years as baby goes from car seat to booster seat.
