Weekend Recap



Another weekend in the books. This one was spent close to home, and just enjoying "normal".
Friday night:
Tyler started the cottage show this weekend--it was from 12-9 on Friday, but he spent the morning setting up the booth, and came home around 3:30, which was nice. We played, hung out together, all had nice soaks in the tub. Around 7, he headed out to his aunt moes surprise 60th birthday party. Garett and I stayed home, since the party was at a big bar on St. Laurent, it was definitely not a kid-friendly event. Garett and I ended up passing out in my bed, and I woke up when Tyler got home, and realized G was still there, so brought him to his bed, lol. I had purchased the new season of Teen Mom with the intention of watching all three episodes I'm behind on that night while I waited for Ty to get home, but--as you can see, I failed haha. I think I watched 20 mins of one episode before I fell asleep. oops :)

Saturday:
Garett was up bright and early. I left G at home with Ty, and headed out to walmart around 7:30 to grab a few things we needed--and grabbed the new activity mat for the baby, and a kit of Lego Juniors for Garett. I came home, and we all went out to Broadway for breakfast. Tyler left for the cottage show from there, and Garett and I headed to Home Depot (needed two more blackout panels for his bedroom), and to Shoppers. My parents were in town and we ended up going to eat at Swiss Chalet for lunch, and went for a trip to Toys R us. Garett was tuckered right out, and fell asleep in the ride back to my house. Once my parents headed out, he was up and at 'em. We cracked open the "Spring cookie decorating kit" and decorated all 6 of those. He also opened his new Lego set and played with that for well over an hour (Lego has magical powers).

Tyler came home from the show all excited because one of the stars on HGTV wants Tyler to do a fountain at his office in Picton. Then the producers from that channel approached him and wants to "make him some money" and put this stuff everywhere. They are talking all over Ontario. Guess it pays to be one of two guys in Ontario being the only ones trained in cliffrock. Hopefully it works out when they get to talking again, because what an opportunity that would be!

We relaxed for the rest of the evening. The boys went to the basement to play, and I fell asleep from 7-8:30 randomly (I was really tired, lol). Garett came up and went to bed when I woke up, so we watched some Cops on the android TV and fell asleep around 11/11:30.





Sunday:
Garett woke me up at 5:17 AM?! He climbed up into bed with us and slept for another hour. Was still early, but he got up, excited to play legos. So I took him downstairs and played, then I made some breakfast. Tyler slept in a bit, and Garett opened his new toys from his toys r us visit (some dinotrux diecast figures and a rescue bot transformer).
Once daddy headed out, we went for a little run to the dollarama near our house to get some stuff I needed for the kids sale coming up (safety pins, tape, etc). We had a snack when we got home, and G ended up curling up right beside me and slept for about 1.5 hours (I am soaking this in, because I'm almost certain his days of sleeping on mommy are limited). We played in the basement and did a few loads of laundry. Made another snack for G and played with his Kinetic sand/watched cartoons until daddy got home. We ended up ordering in pizza for dinner, and played more in the basement (G is obsessed with the basement for some reason). We went upstairs around 8:45, I grabbed a shower, laid out clothes, and G went to bed. We watched MORE cops until about 10:15 and went to sleep.


Woke up this morning to a beautiful coating of snow on the car. Brushed it off, stopped for some gas and headed into work. The roads weren't bad, but the traffic certainly was. But it's nice a mild out, and supposed to be 17 degrees this weekend, which I am totally down for!! lol

I am off tomorrow to bring my car to the garage for a little work, so looking forward to that! lol

      UGH, NO I didn't!!! lol As soon as I pulled in I may have swore a bit in the car. Luckily, all of the carts in the little cart hut things were loose with no loonie attachments! So I scored an old pre-loonie model cart! phew :)

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
