Is it Friday yet?
I'm tired today. Which makes no sense, because it was my first really good night/solid sleep in probably a month. I guess it's just my body's glorious way of asking for "more".
I had big plans for last night. None of which happened. But hey, at least I planned for it to happen! haha
Instead of being productive, Tyler picked up Garett from daycare so I could head to the garage right after work with my car. I needed the mechanic to diagnose and write up an estimate to order the parts I need. We have a friend that owns a garage right next to Tyler's store, and labor is fairly cheap (it hurts me to say the word cheap when referring to it, because even at the discounted rate I believe the words "WHAT THE EFF" might have escaped me in a winded noise when I looked at the paper). Anyways, the mystery overnight noise is apparently a tire rod, a ball joint and cv something or others on the front tires (yes, both sides). Figured I may as well throw an oil change on that bad boy and call it a day. The parts will be in on Monday before close, so Tuesday I will likely take off of work. I need to bring my car in in the morning, and will be ready before close. So why not have a lounging day? :) It would be IDEAL if we could get a room or two painted so I can waste my day away decorating that. Though, a no car access day doesn't sound overly appealing. We will see.
While he was looking at my car, we headed to a quick estimate up the road for Tyler. He is training a salesman right now, so this took a bit longer than I anticipated. Garett was VERY antsy to get out, but it just wasn't happening, because I didn't know how long Ty would be. This resulted in a very loud/pouty 15 minutes. Then as soon as Tyler comes back, we welcomed back our perfect little backseat angel. Tyler has magical powers. I don't know what it is, but I wish it would rub off on me.
We headed back to the garage, picked up my car and estimate, gave the go ahead for the parts and I took G home, while Tyler ran to the yard to put stuff in the trailer.
No sooner did I walk in the door, but my phone rang. We had ordered food in the night before for dinner, and by the time I realized they had forgotten our mushroom caps, it was nearly bedtime. I had paid for them, but I wasn't calling back at 9:30 at night, so we cut our $9 loss lol. Anyways, the restaurant called me yesterday and said they believe they forgot them in our order the previous night. I confirmed. And within 15 minutes, they were delivered to my door! I was floored. I'm really not used to good customer service anymore! Anyways, long story short, we will be good customers to them in the future :) I'm impressed.
After that, I started dinner. I made a stiryfry/skillet thing. veggies and pasta and a cheesey sauce. Ate that while we took in a bit of tv. Then we all took our baths and showers, I threw in a load of laundry, did some dishes, laid out clothes for today, vacuumed our bedroom, and cleaned a bit while the boys played. Made up a little snack for G to eat while laying in bed, and then off to bed he went. His cough that he had between 11:30-12:30 for the last few nights ceased to exist, and he finally had a good rest (plus a three hour nap at daycare yesterday). So I guess he was also working on trying to catch up on some sleep.
Also, I arrived home yesterday to find Garett's new bedding , and his new swim trunks/rashguard tops and water shoes arrived :) Explaining to a three year old we have to wait to use his fun new bedding until his double bed is together was fairly heartbreaking. I shouldn't have even opened the box in front of him :( Rookie mistake.
His lamp is supposed to arrive today, so will just be waiting on his wall decals, and his bed rails to come in around Monday. So we will grab a mattress for him the following weekend, I suppose!
Today, after I get Garett, I have to head to walmart and stock up on "supplies" I'm running out on (lol)..Lotions, face wipes, etc. Maybe pick up a few groceries while we are there. We need a restock on our fruits and stuff, so may as well do that.
Other than that, not much happening on our side of the fence! Chaos management, really. lol.
Happy Hump Day!!
