Weekend look-ahead
Things have been crazy lately! The house still feels chaotic because we haven't had a chance to paint it to feel like "ours" and nothing is hung on the walls yet because of it--I don't know where I want things hung, because I don't know what each room will look like once it's all painted up! I am hoping to sort out a bit of that this weekend (or at the very least, paint the bedrooms). I want to get Garett's bedding ordered, and we need to go pick up a mattress from Ikea for his new bed--we will bid adieu to the toddler bed shortly, and convert his bed once more into a double :'( What happened to my baby!!!?

We went for another sonogram for Baby girl on Wednesday. Everything looks good so far. Happy and healthy baby--weighing in just under a pound right now. And they confirmed 100% girl, which helped ease my mind while spending so much money, and sorting through all of Garett's baby stuff to ship off to the Outgrow Outplay sale in May lol

Afterwards, I went home and put away some laundry, went to pick up Garett from daycare, and we all headed to the lawyers office to hand in one key (the rest were left at the house), and sign off on the papers for the old place.
Once we were done there, we had a bit of time to kill, so we went and spent too much at the Bulk Barn on our favourites (pistachios, cashews, yogurt covered raisins, gummy bears, bits n bites) and an R2D2 pez dispenser for G. the candy was a huge waste, but he sure did like the dispenser! lol
Once we finished up there, we headed to Mandarin on Innes road to meet up with Shannon, Casey and Rylie for dinner. We have been wanting to try this place for some time now. It was really good. I found it a bit of a waste for me to go to a buffet in my condition (pregnant=can't eat enough to make it worth the price lol), but the food I did eat was really good! Garett and Tyler approved as well. I think the other side of the table liked it too ;) It was a VERY kid-centric restaurant too, which was nice. It made it so you weren't worried about your child the whole time, because there were other people letting theirs run around like crazy people. Also, the fountains with the fish in it on the way in were a huge draw for my little guy! We will be back :)
Being such a short work week for me, and being in town now, being able to run errands at night no problem, makes everyday feel like Friday. It's really the strangest sensation!
Tonight, we are having Rod and Sharon over for a big bbq. Our first bbq in the new house :) Other than that, I believe the weekend plans are to stay close to home, start some painting, and relax! I would like to take Garett out to do something fun for being SUCH an amazing little person this last week. I think I will do a whole other post about his daycare transition. It's literally better than I could ever have hoped for , or imagined :) We certainly did luck out with him *insert heart eyes*
Happy Friday everyone! Don't let all the rain coming get you down :)
