Eco Odyssee

Tyler and I have booked our next date. July 18, we are dropping Garett off for the day and heading over to Wakefield, QC.

I saw this in an article posted online about "20 things to do around Ottawa this summer" or something, and read up on it. I love beavers. I don't know why, but they are just so funny/cute looking. When I read that you could rent a paddle boat and go through a water maze, take in beautiful scenery and possibly see beavers in their natural habitat, I was ALL over it. I hammered down a date for Ty and I because there was NO way I was passing this up lol.

Since the water maze only takes about two hours to get through, if we have time we might do a walking path as well to take in the peace and quiet and enjoy the outdoors! After all, it is a 500 acre area--lots to explore!

Since it's a short drive from home, we have the freedom to explore a little longer than if it were a long ride. We can still get home in time to get Garett to bed and enjoy some time together as a family. I cannot wait until he's a little bit older so that he can join in on these adventures  and help peddle the boat! Lots of fun to be had :)

The prices are very reasonable as well! For the two hour paddle boat adventure it was just under $50 (after taxes!) and then for the walking trails it's only $10 for two people ($15 if you bring a family!). A nice fun day out together for under $100 is a bonus, and an experience that we will remember forever !

Stay tuned for my pictures after we go! But if you're curious about what you would see, here's a sneak peak!

  1. My friends went a couple years ago and said it was neat. Bring bug spray and enjoy!
