Weekend Recap

This weekend turned out to be much quieter than expected.

We wanted to get the living room painted, and go to a museum with G. It wasn't an outdoors kind if weekend, so we stayed in and hung out with friends. And even that didn't work out according to plan. That's what I love about weekends though! Sometimes plans change in a second!

Friday I picked Garett up, went home and we ordered pizza instead of bbq'ing when one of Ty's friends came over. We hung out in the basement, I ran out to grab diapers, since I didn't realize we sent our last box to daycare earlier that day, and put g to bed. I wasn't far behind.

Saturday we were up bright and early (6:30), thank you Mr. Garett. So we headed out for breakfast, tidied up a bit, and we all had a nap. Tyler headed out to town to cut a deck and went to an Asian market to pick stuff up to make sushi and dumplings. We got a "YAY SUSHI" from Garett --totally daddy's boy lol. 

Ty's cousin came over and we watched a couple of movies, g went to bed early at 8:30 and we were all in bed by 11:45.

I got fed up with my blackberry z10 dying so fast lately, and the power cord is on the fritz, so I upgraded online. I weighed my options between a NEXUS phone, a new BB, an iPhone, Samsung and an LG. I chose iPhone because I didn't want to learn a new platform, it's compatible with all of our other apple products , I like the size (not too big like the rest seemed) and I got to chose a cool colour (yes I'm the girl this is important to lol). So it's on it's way and I should have it soon. I also ordered a case :)

I woke up around 1 am and couldn't sleep . I eventually fell back around 2, but that insomnia feeling is rough! In my boredom and frustration I decided to online shop. Instead of buying something, I decided to get Garett a subscription to something. He loves mail, so he will be excited to see something addressed to him. I have looked at these before, and they seem pretty advanced for the age range, but I think I can make it fun and so he enjoys it. If he's not excited, I certainly am! I can't wait! Haha



Garett slept in until 7:15 and ate breakfast in bed, and played independently while I put away the last load of laundry (caught up now..let's see how long that lasts lol), went through his closet and got rid of anything that's getting too small, and lounged in bed. He went down for his nap after asking to go to sleep.

This month coming is crazy, so forgive me if I'm absent a lot. Starting this week. I work Monday and Tuesday , Wednesday Tyler is playing for canada day in the afternoon, then we are having a BBQ, and then Thursday to Sunday we are in Montreal at Comiccon. I'm already tired. And that's just the tip of the iceberg for July lol.

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
