Girls Weekend 2015
Honestly, I am so happy to see that it is raining impossibly hard this morning. Yeah, it made it harder to drag my butt out of bed this morning, but if I had to miss a beautiful day after this weekend, I probably would have cried (I'm only kind of a drama queen, okay?).
This weekend was much needed, and went too fast!
Friday, I took the day off, and was still up bright and early to finish up with packing and loading up the car. I had to quickly stop at the bank and to buy some ice at the gas station, and I was headed to Orleans to meet up with the other girls. We loaded up the cars we were taking, and we were on the road (with a quick Tim's break in Orleans first) around 10:15. With the ferry ride, we made really good time, and rolled into Val-des-bois around 11 or something. It was raining a bit when we got there, and the driveway was quite a slope down, so that was interesting, but we made it!
We popped a bottle of champage to commemorate the beginning of Girls Weekend 2015, and the cork flew across the deck, the lawn and landed in the lake! haha Perfect!
The rest of the weekend consisted of drives into town to hit up the overpriced convenience store, drinks, long paddle boat rides (one was longer than expected when the wind and current picked up and we couldn't paddle out of it for a little while haha), good nights sleeps, bonfires, marshmallows, bbq'd everything, tanning, loud music, lots of dancing (Amber fell on her knee and bruised it pretty bad! lol), cleaning, laughing, singing, playing Cards Against Humanity, and just flat out enjoying our time together away from the stresses of everyday life.
I truly had a blast, and can't wait until the next one!
While I was away, the boys played hard. Daddy took Garett to see the ferry boats, trains, and went and parked on a road behind the airport, sat in the box of the truck and watched planes fly in and out. He played for a bit with his cousin Bryson and Shannon's daughter Rylie. He was out visiting Grandpa Terry when I got home, so I got some time to relax and unpack alone, and then he napped for 2 hours as soon as he got home. It was a very relaxed evening--baths, tv, cuddling, snacks, and early to bed!
That's all she wrote for one more year! Looking forward to all of the things coming up in the next few months :) Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
