Short Week, Long Week
Does anyone else out there find that the shorter work weeks feel like the LONGEST work weeks, EVER? That the universe knows you will be off one of the days, so it throws everything at you at the same time, so you still do 5 days of work, but in 4 instead? Yeah, that's the kind of week I'm having. Here is my obligatory "is it seriously on Tuesday?" comment.
Is it seriously only Tuesday?
Yesterday I picked up Garett from daycare a few minutes early. He greeted me at the door "MOMMY!!!" and a big hug and kiss. I gave our daycare provider her birthday gift, but Garett wasted no time pulling me out the door to stay and chat much longer. Then nearly as soon as we started driving he started "Mommy, I go back to Reeann's house?" ...He was having fun when he left, I guess lol.
We went home and I whipped up some cabbage rolls, and we played until daddy came home. Fireman Sam was put on for the trillionth time (I don't know if he likes it because it's about a fireman, or because of the British accents, because it's a new sounding voice?). We relaxed, took baths, tidied up from the evening and Garett asked to go to bed around 8:20. So I stayed up to watch the first episode of Teen Mom OG (I finally bought the season last night), and pre-ordered Pretty Little Liars season 6, since it starts tonight, and I will have that to watch tomorrow night before bed :).
This morning Ty and I were both up at 5:45 so we chatted for a few minutes before we got up to get ready. We went in to wake G up (who rolled over and pulled the covers back over him lol). Eventually he was awake enough that I could take him, change his diaper and get him dressed. Him and Ty were leaving right behind me when I pulled out at 6:18.
I got my morning egg white western omelette, and some yogurt and water and came up to eat in peace. I don't want to jinx it, but it was a little quieter this morning. I plugged away at a few quick items, and am looking forward to getting my inbox from 300 unactioned emails to 150 today--BIG, lofty goals!
Tonight, I am leaving work and running some errands for things I need to pick up for girls weekend. I will save the groceries for Thursday night or Friday morning before I leave so the meat is fresh and it doesn't have to sit in the cooler in my trunk tonight. After my errands, I am heading to the market for dinner and some palm reading :) I may or may not be a huge nerd and taught myself how to do some basic palm reading last night. So I want to see what they say vs what I self taught last night lol.
Not looking forward to driving in/parking in the market. I told the girls I'm going with that I must really enjoy their company, because I don't drive down there for just anybody!! haha
Side note--did everyone see "Caitlyn" yesterday?? How is a 65 year old man that is becoming a woman hotter than me!? UGH. All joking aside though, I am very happy for him/her finally being able to be herself.
On that note. Hopefully everyone has a wonderful Tuesday. And with that, I leave you with a picture of the resort we want to visit next:
