What I'm Loving Wednesday
- This beautiful sunny day!! I can't wait to go out for lunch for a retirement party, and take a long walk along the River!
- I also don't mind the rainy days when I'm stuck at work. Yeah, it makes me feel tired, but it's also a cozy feeling. And I would rather save the nice days for when I can go out!
- Tomorrow I will come in late and work 9-5 since I have my wine and paint nite with some girlfriends at 7. I don't want to drive all the way home, so I will just work later so I can go right from here :)
- This weekend we don't have much planned--our only free weekend until August. I think we might hit up a museum with G, or try and get the living room painted and hit up the splash pad. We will see! We are having a few people over Saturday night for a bbq since they can't make it on Canada Day.
- Our Canada Day outfits I ordered came in the mail last night. We tried them on, and we're ready to go for the fair and bbq!
- I am looking forward to picking a new photographer for our summer family photos. Looking to find a good person locally so I can call them whenever!
- It'll just be Tyler and I in Montreal now--the other employee is staying back since they have a bunch of events happening here. I am excited for the experience to "work" with Ty, and enjoy some nice dinners alone at nice restaurants--we are also having dinner with the "owners" of Montreal Comiccon on the 3rd, and they're a couple around our age, so will be nice to meet a new couple and have dinner with them!
- My Director is on vacation today, and then for two weeks after this week. Things should be very quiet at work, and then explode up again. I love that week where it explodes. The days go so fast when it's insanely busy like that!
- Last night when we got home, Garett was feeling lazy (he didn't nap more than 30 mins yesterday, and had played outside ALOT, so was totally pooped), so he laid in our bed with his drink and watched cartoons. Which gave me time to make another delicious dinner. Usually pasta meals are a quick thing, and I usually have a sauce in the freezer, but I made it fresh last night! Some whole wheat pasta (cooked in 3/4 water and 1/4 chicken broth). For the sauce, I sautéed spinach, onion, garlic, seasoning, and flash sautéed some stewed tomatoes in, added the sauce/paste, seasoned. While that simmered, I cooked up some ground turkey, adding more garlic puree and onions and seasoning. Then added that to the sauce to simmer together for a bit longer. While I waited for that, I brushed some bread with olive oil and garlic puree, then added some blended cheeses and cut up some leftover bacon, and broiled those suckers for a couple of minutes until the cheese was melted.
Added some freshly grated parmigiano reggiano on top. We all gobbled it up, and relaxed for the rest of the evening--baths, and tv in bed. Garett was asleep by 8:20, and I went to bed at 9:15.

- That it's HUMP DAY! So excited with how fast this week is going :)
