Reasons why I love Canada
First, and foremost, the title of this alone makes me feel thankful. Not many people live in a Country where they can comfortably, and with great pride and honesty say that they LOVE it. But I do. I love my country.
I love that when I travel somewhere, I am so proud to say "I'm Canadian". People all over the world LOVE Canada, and it usually results in smiles, cheers, hugs, high fives, a round of drinks, etc once they find out they have Canadians in their midst!
I love that even though we often complain about our healthcare system, we are truly blessed to have it so accessible. People would complain a lot less if they had to live in another country that wasn't so fortunate for a while!
I love that we have seasons. I'll be the first to shiver in the early days of winter and wish for summer again, but I am so happy to have all of the seasons. They are so beautiful--and many countries are surprisingly envious of our winters- all of the people in the islands are so curious about snow!
I love that we are generally peacekeepers, but also a strong country. I don't always agree with the big G that rules it all, and all of the laws they pass, but for the most part, we are also lucky to live in a Democratic nation that takes care of its people.
I love that we have some amazing things that people travel from all over to see : CN Tower, Parliament Buildings, West Edmonton Mall, the Stampede, Hockey Teams, Baseball Teams, Amusement Parks, National Parks, etc...we have so many things to offer.
I love that we can (for the most part) feel safe walking down our streets at night. We don't have corruption, violence, war, etc surrounding us.
I love that we don't have rules pushed upon us like arranged marriages, being told how many children we can have, etc. We take these things for granted--and I love that we live in a country where we automatically take things like this for granted.
One little thing I would change? Make shipping to Canada cheaper! And FORCE all stores to ship here also, kthanks :)
I LOVE YOU CANADA. HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
