Things my two year old says...Part Two



Garett: Mommy, the dragon ate my crackers!!
Me: Oh no, do you want some more?
Garett: Yes please, for the dragon!!


Me: Who's your new friend at daycare, buddy?
Garett: LEAH
Me: Is she nice? Do you like her?
Garett: Yes! Leah is the boss!!
Me: No, Reeann is the boss!
Garett: Yeah, then Leah!


Me at every meal: What do you feel like eating, munchkin?
Garett: *ponders for a second* EGGS, TOAST, JUICE
Me: No, something else, you can't eat that for every meal.
Garett: EGGS, TOAST, JUICE
Me: How about spaghetti and meatballs?
Garett: Yes!! mmmmmmmmmm, mommy!


Garett: *Splashes me while he's in the bath*
Me: Keep the water in the tub, please
Garett: *splashes again*
Me: What did I just say? Don't splash people.
Garett: I sorry mommy, I be nice!


To every sound he doesn't immediately recognize, he cups his hand over one ear and says "mommy, daddy, what's that noise???"
We tell him what it is and he repeats it like he is stating it as a fact to let us know what the sound is.


Garett: *Grabs my hand and pulls me into the master walk-in closet*
MOMMY! Hurry! The alligator is coming!
Me: Why are we hiding?Are you afraid?
Garett: hahaha noooo, I hiding. SURPRISE!

    Tanner does the same thing, when he hears something, he holds his ear and is like what that noise mom?

Life Lately

-Hosting Bearbrook Ladies night two weekends ago was wonderful! I put out a full charcuterie spread, made a mint/cranberry/grapefruit drink to share, and all of us received a tarot card reading, palm read and a facial read. Pretty much the reoccurring consensus between all three reads (it was two different people doing it) was that my heart and mind live in a state of conflict, but that it works for me to live in a state of balance. I deal mostly with logic and facts, and less with emotions; they think I would be good as an analyst (weird, since this is pretty well my role at work), and with numbers (which I also do all day at work lol). -Garett went on his first friend play date ever , and he had so much fun. It was his two best friends that left daycare to start school last year. -happy that while Garett was at his play date, Tyler was home with Keira and I went out for a bit alone, then came home and we finished The Belko Experiment movie before I went to get him. (He was there for two hours) -sad that this week, Garett only has four days left at daycare :( Friday is Keira's first day, while I keep g home with me. Can't believe it's already almost school time!! -as a "goodbye" gift from g, we bought his daycare provider a necklace from peoples that is a heart with some Garnet stones in it (Garett's birthstone), to remember him by, and I ordered an Aukey essential oils diffuser , a doTERRA starter kit and an essential oils mixing guide recipe book thing. Friday fun!

Thank God it's Friday, and that this week is O-V-E-R!!! -It was a stressful week at home. Looking forward to a fun weekend! -I am being audited for child care expenses in 2018--I'm not the only one that thinks we pay too much money in child care! LOL...I submitted my receipts online (they are catching up with the times and it's great!) and turns out I actually underclaimed by a few hundred dollars haha. -Tonight is calm, just hanging at home with the kids. -Saturday I have an eyelash appointment at 2:00, and then we have a sitter coming at 6:00 so we can go to a Wine & Cheese night up the road at our friends house. -Sunday is a day of rest until the evening when Shan comes over and we head into town to go to the Trailer Park Boys Christmas at the NAC (I bought Tyler and I tickets as an early Christmas gift).
