Papanack Zoo
This weekend is father's day. And though we appreciate the daddy in our house all the time, we are going to celebrate in a bigger way, and make him feel special, like I did for my day :)
I know he has to go into work on Saturday for a bit, which is fine, but we have agreed that it will be an early morning, and we are going to head to the Papanack Zoo. Because 1) Let's really celebrate the person that made him a father, and do something for him :) 2) I have never been, and going to a zoo was on my 29 before 29 list 3) it's a good way to blow off some energy and enjoy the outdoors. If you want to go, here is the link:

I am so excited for Garett to see all of the animals! He loves to rhyme off the names of things: " elephant! Hippo! Camel! Crocodile!", he yells as we flip through his animal books. It's always nice to take him places where he can make the correlation between books and tv, to real life! The kid definitely doesn't lack educational activities, that's for sure!
We will also take him out for dinner to the local restaurant near our house, since we will have to get home right after the zoo for nap time :)
What did we get Tyler for father's day, you ask?
Let me tell you :)
1) An Anker A7908 Bluetooth speaker.
--I can't tell you the amount of times we have used these at other places. They are great, and I literally have no idea how Tyler, of all people, don't have one of these yet. I think he will be very excited about this gift :) It will make bbq'ing and sitting around the kitchen table with friends that much more enjoyable!
2) A set of 4- Glen Cairn Whiskey glasses
--Now that Tyler has a taste for the stuff, and enjoys a glass of it when he has some of his friends over, he has been talking about getting some good glasses like this. Since some of them are pretty costly, I thought 4 would be enough lol
3) I always buy him a "cool" gadget-y gift also, but have been cutting back on them because we are trying to control the amount of tacky bar stuff in the house lol. This Das-Can-enstein was a perfect addition! You can put a beer can, a pop can, a juice can (you get the idea) in this and it will instantly turn it into a stein! haha So neat. I think he will get a kick out of it.
So there you have it--our big father's day plans for Garett's daddy!
Stay tuned for the recap post :)
What is everyone else doing for father's day? And what did the dads in your life get? I am always looking for ideas on what to get in the future!
